Veterinary Technician - Emergency

VCA California Veterinary Specialists located in Ontario, CA, is the largest 24‑hour Emergency and Specialty hospital in the Inland Empire. For the past decade we have provided exceptional veterinary service and patient care. We are seeking a motivated individual willing to work with a strong team in a fast‑paced environment. Our ERCC Department may be a great fit for these skills. Monitor and perform treatments for patients requiring intensive management, recognize significant changes in the patient’s condition, and notify the Doctor. Experience with venipuncture and IV catheter placement on critical patients. Anesthetic induction and monitoring of sensitive and critically ill patients. Experience with specialized equipment care and use, and willingness to learn new skills. Strong experience with the care of urinary catheters, central lines, and nasal gastric tubes. Solid mathematical skills and ability to calculate CRI and medication dosages. Ability to run in‑house lab samples and handle submissions to outside laboratories as needed. Detail‑oriented with ability to bring attention to discrepancies in patient care and treatments. Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
