To support this journey, we are looking for an outstanding Transportation Manager to build and lead a leading transportation capability across our global operations.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in complex international environments, combining strong logistics expertise with digital process ownership, and can turn transportation into a competitive advantage. You will own global transportation performance, ensuring deliveries are executed on time against customer-confirmed dates, while driving reliability, cost competitiveness, visibility, and service excellence across the network. In This Role Your Main Accountabilities Will Be- Managing our partners to ensure timely deliveries and transport operations (including customs clearance processes), as well as efficient solutions
- Establish effective and competitive transportation rates, in partnership with procurement
- Developing and owning the digital tools which enable your objectives, including SAP shipping routes and the transport management system (TMSs)
- Developing and maintaining track-and-trace capabilities to increase shipment visibility
- Continuously improving and driving convergence towards best-in-class standards of transportation processes, performance, and digital integration across regions
- 5+ years in global transportation/logistics management (ideally in an industrial environment) with team leadership experience
- Exceptional analytical, structured, and data-driven approach, with the ability to turn operational issues into sustainable process improvements
- Strong capability to define, monitor, and improve logistics KPIs such as OTIF, OTD, pickup reliability, delivery reliability, claims, lead time, and transport cost
- Solid knowledge of SAP, TMS & track and trace solutions, with the ability to implement new systems to drive performance improvements
- Superior ability to work effectively across global regions, plants, warehouses, sales, customer service, trade compliance, IT, procurement, and external logistics partners
- Excellent English and Italian communication skills and the seniority to influence internal stakeholders and external partners
