Field Service Technician (Generator)At 360 Energy Solutions, we specialize in turnkey power generation services and solutions—from rental generators and installations to full-scale backup power system integrations. Based in Miami, FL, we serve clients across the region with a commitment to reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician (Generator) to support the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of commercial and industrial generator systems. This role is essential in ensuring equipment reliability and delivering high-quality service to our customers. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical and electrical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on generator systems.Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic testing on alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices, shutdown systems, and battery systems.Execute load bank testing, including both resistive and reactive testing procedures.Service and troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and generator control systems.Diagnose and repair engines across multiple manufacturers, including Kohler, Cummins, CAT, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, Doosan, MTU, and Volvo.Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to explain technical issues and recommended solutions.Collaborate effectively with internal teams, manufacturers, and third-party vendors.Maintain accurate records of services performed, expenses, and billable hours.Submit service reports, timesheets, and expense reports on a daily basis.Mentor junior technicians by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies while working in the field.Perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in generator service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.Experience with engines of all fuel types and familiarity with transfer switches and/or switchgear systems.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and interpret electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and multimeters.Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical theory and real-world application.Proficiency with computers and field service software.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to travel.Must be eligible to work in the United States.Preferred QualificationsExperience operating heavy equipment and forklifts in compliance with OSHA regulations.Experience working in high-demand, fast-paced service environments.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Work Environment and Physical RequirementsFrequent travel to customer sites and job locations.Work performed outdoors and in industrial environments, including exposure to running generators and electrical systems.Ability to work in varying weather conditions and respond to emergency service calls.Must be available for on-call rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.Why Join 360 Energy Solutions?We're a fast-growing, client-focused company that values technical excellence and operational integrity.
