Job Description & Requirements Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a contract assignment in Seneca, Kansas. Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the supervision of either a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA uses physical treatment procedures—such as massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, and other assigned exercises—to improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury. Requirements Must have earned an Associate’s degree from an accredited school. Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant/ PTA or be in the process of obtaining licensure. Current CPR certification. Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist. Implement and modify the patient’s physical therapy plan of treatment under supervision. Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
