Senior Accountant

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience working in a project-based environment, and the ability to partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities sLead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation .Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules .Perform Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting and revenue recognition in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies .Review project costs, revenue, and gross margins to ensure accurate financial reporting .Partner with Project Managers, Operations, and Engineering teams to monitor project performance and forecast outcomes .Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances .Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis .Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation .Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes .Drive process improvements and support ERP system enhancements and automation initiatives .Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned Qualifications edBachelor's degree in Accounting or Financ e.4+ years of progressive accounting experienc e.Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparatio n.Hands-on experience with Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting and project accountin g.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principle s.Advanced Microsoft Excel skill s.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitie Preferred redCPA designation or progress toward certificati on.Experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering, or other project-based industri es.Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynami cs.Knowledge of ASC 606 and long-term contract accounti ng.Experience supporting process improvements and system implementatio #J-18808-Ljbffr
