This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging mission-critical projects while advancing your career within a nationally recognized engineering consultancy. Senior Engineers will lead the design and delivery of complex engineering systems, while Supervising Engineers (Project Managers) will take on broader responsibilities including project management, client leadership, team development, budgeting, and business support.

The Role

Lead the design and delivery of Critical Facilities and Data Center projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include project leadership, staff supervision, client management, business development, construction administration, and serving as a technical lead across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver complex engineering systems for Critical Facilities and Data Center projects.
• Develop system applications, design criteria, operational sequences, and technical solutions.
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment selection, and technical analysis using industry-standard software.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Participate in and oversee QA/QC processes to ensure technical excellence and project quality.
• Support project scheduling, staffing requirements, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Perform construction administration activities including field inspections, RFIs, change orders, bulletins, addenda, and site reports.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, including CAD/BIM and technical staff.
• Assist with employee evaluations, mentoring, and staff development initiatives.
• Prepare engineering proposals and support business development activities.
• Participate in industry organizations, technical presentations, and professional development efforts.
• Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates and evaluate project feasibility.
• Maintain compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8–12+ years of experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience leading project teams and serving as a client liaison.
• Experience delivering Critical Facilities and/or Data Center projects.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and BIM-based project delivery.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, system selection, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Ability to review and interpret floor plans, sections, elevations, and construction documents.
• Experience preparing and reviewing construction documentation and technical deliverables.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards.
• Experience with trade-specific design and calculation software.
• Knowledge of SKM software and experience performing short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
