JOB SUMMARYThe Process Improvement Engineer supports the Production team in the Filling and Assembly process. In this role, you will help drive continuous improvement across industrial operations by developing, implementing, and ensuring conformity of the cosmetic production processes.This position provides leadership, strategic direction, and improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance, product quality, and cost efficiency. This may involve optimizing current production processes and technologies or improving packaging components.This role requires strong project ownership and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional team members to ensure tasks are completed on time. Success in this position also depends on adaptability in fast-changing environments, sound judgment, and a willingness to explore new approaches that enhance the organization’s competitive advantage.WHAT YOU WILL DOYou will identify and analyze opportunities in production operation process driving improvement of performance, quality, and cost.You will review and approve technical engineering process and drawings for components/assemblies.You will perform statistical analysis from testing data to assess specification values.You will attend line trials and process validation.You will support and perform BOM (Bill of Materials) changes for existing products (new products, artwork updates, material changes, new tertiary pack outs)You will drive projects with full ownership and hold accountability on team members to ensure all steps of the timeline are met.You will be responsible for initiating and resolving queries from other functions in a timely manner and communicating escalating issues when appropriateWHO YOU AREYou have a bachelor’s degree in Package Engineering or another Engineering discipline (mechanical, material science).You have 1-2 years of experience in Production operation in Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals or Consumer Goods companies (preferred).You have knowledge of filling and assembly processes and high-speed machinesYou are a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt at minimumYou have basic knowledge of molding processes, resins, and package testing methodsYou have basic knowledge of CAD software and 3D printingYou are aware of cross functional and regional impact of decisionsYou can handle multi-task launch projects with limited supervision and supportYou are appreciative of the importance of on-time and quality delivery of projects to business partnersYou can network and work in a team environmentYou have excellent interpersonal communication skillsYou take initiative and drive clarity and resolutionYou can adapt to fast-changing environmentsYou can predict, recognize, and define meaningful corrective actions to problemsYou are willing to take risks and consider new approaches to improve the organization’s competitive position.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, if applicable.
