Financial Benefits Analyst The Financial Benefits Analyst is an individual contributor responsible for delivering high-quality financial, utilization, and benchmarking analysis to support client strategy, renewal planning, and ongoing service needs. In partnership with Producers, Benefits Consultants, and Account Managers, this role supports complex client accounts by developing accurate reporting, analyzing trends, and translating data into actionable insights related to plan design, funding, and cost management strategies. This role is primarily client-facing and execution-focused, with accountability for producing timely, accurate analytical deliverables that support both retention and growth initiatives. Essential duties and responsibilities Draft accurate financial and analytical exhibits for quarterly and annual client meetings Develop utilization and experience reporting using carrier and internal data sources; analyze trends and identify opportunities for plan design, funding, and cost containment strategies Produce monthly and ad hoc reporting deliverables for clients Analyze industry benchmarks to assess competitiveness and inform client recommendations Support carrier negotiation processes in partnership with Benefits Consultants Maintain accurate, current, and organized market and client data within internal systems Partner with carrier representatives to ensure data accuracy and integrity Assist with modeling and evaluation of alternative funding arrangements, when applicable Collaboration and client support Work closely with Benefits Consultants and Account Managers to support renewal and ongoing service strategy Provide analytical support for complex client questions and escalations Support prospect and growth opportunities by preparing financial exhibits and analysis as requested Participate in client or prospect meetings when analytics support is needed Translate analytics capabilities into clear, compelling value for clients and prospects Qualifications, skills, and requirements Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and insights in complex data sets Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly Ability to balance hands‑on client work with broader team enablement responsibilities Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills across consultants and producers Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Education, training, and experience 4 years of relevant experience in benefits analytics or financial analysis Bachelor's degree required; Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, or related field preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office products; intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel required Experience in the healthcare industry with a group insurance carrier, broker, or consulting firm preferred Strong knowledge of group insurance products including medical, dental, CDHP, pharmacy, life, and disability Experience with database and analytics applications a plus Active Health Insurance (Life & Health) license required The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $75,000 to $82,000 per year.
