Job Overview Mechanic, HVAC- Licensed – Location: Silverdale, WA (Bangor). Type: Non‑Exempt. Work Schedule: Full‑time. Compensation: $55.95 per hour. Responsibilities The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the installation, diagnosis, service, and repair of environmental‑control heating and air‑conditioning systems across a variety of facilities. This role applies technical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and repairs, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards. Install, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions. Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. Utilize wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to perform repairs and maintenance. Install and program thermostats. Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts. Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to power source. Communicate and interact directly with the customer, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs. Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customer. Communicate with scheduler to update status of repairs and estimate completion dates. Qualifications 0–3 years of HVAC experience and VAC and/or EPA Certification required. Must have civilian or military trade school training or equivalent. Washington State EL‑06A electrical license. Physical Requirements Employees must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: lift and/or move up to 70 pounds; reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours; climb in/out of a vehicle and up/down stairs; maintain confidentiality and standards. Requirements A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance. Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL‑ID compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted for this position.
