The cover letter should address your specific interest in the position and outline experience that directly relate to this position.## What You'll DoReporting to the Director for Design/University, you will have the following responsibilities:* Evaluate course of action and make independent decisions on matters of significance within the scope of responsibilities, free from immediate direction.* Develop architectural program statements and building programs for assigned capital projects.* Evaluate proposals from consultants and participate in the selection process for assigned capital projects.* Prepare and execute contracts for engaging professional consultant firms to develop and document assigned capital projects.* Direct the activities of architects, engineers, interior designers, and other professionals retained for planning, programming and designing assigned capital complex projects. Conduct project meetings; responsible for project tracking and analysis.* Develop and maintain the highest quality standards in architecture, while managing the design process for assigned capital projects.* Advise clients and administrators and faculty on criteria for facility planning, building design, and construction.* Prepare and oversee the preparation of graphics and narrative reports for assigned projects and make presentations of same.* Review architectural and campus plans and make recommendations to assure compliance with regulatory agencies and University goals.## Required Qualifications\\** Bachelor's degree in architecture.
