About the Role: As an associate business systems administrator in the Information Technology department, you will collaborate with team members to support the administration, maintenance, enhancement, and adoption of NYSTEC's business applications and collaboration platforms. This role will assist with the day-to‑day management of SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365, Power Platform solutions, and other enterprise business systems used throughout the organization. Serving as an associate business systems administrator, your day-to‑day role will include ensuring continuity of support and providing additional capacity across many critical business systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early‑career technology professional to gain hands‑on experience administering enterprise platforms while working alongside business stakeholders to improve processes, workflows, and user experiences. Key Responsibilities Provide routine troubleshooting for NYSTEC business applications and collaboration platforms. Assist with the administration, configuration, and maintenance of SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, permissions, and content management practices. Support Dynamics 365 administration activities, including user setup, data maintenance, reporting, and workflow support. Assist with the development and maintenance of Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate and Power Apps. Troubleshoot and resolve application‑related issues submitted through established support channels. Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system improvements. Create and maintain system documentation, knowledge articles, process guides, and training materials. Participate in business system testing, upgrades, releases, and software implementations. Monitor system functionality and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and automation. Support integration efforts between business applications and Microsoft 365 technologies. Conduct end‑user training and provide guidance on effective use of business systems. Participate in IT projects and cross‑functional initiatives as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365, Teams, and OneDrive. Foundational technical background with the ability to understand, support, and troubleshoot business applications, collaboration platforms, and related systems. Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing business needs. Self-starter with a willingness to learn, seek out learning opportunities, and take initiative in building technical and business systems knowledge. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation and commitment to user support. Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate system data. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities. Preferred/Desired Qualifications Certifications related to Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, business applications, or IT service management are preferred. Education and Experience An associate’s degree in information technology, computer information systems, business information systems, computer science or related field. No professional experience required. However, internship, co‑op, academic project, or equivalent experience working with Microsoft technologies is preferred. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
