Allied / Tech - Cath Lab Tech

The Interventional Specialist Catheterization Lab assists cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology [EP] studies, and radiofrequency [RF] ablations on newborns, children and adults with congenital heart disease.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the interventional cardiologists by scrubbing into procedures to function as a sterile scrub assistant and manage x-ray equipment.
• Scrubs, circulates and monitors diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and EP ablation procedures.
• Responsible for monitoring invasive cardiac waveforms and pressure gradients during procedures including communication of patient’s vital signs and EKG data.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining par levels, as well as general equipment troubleshooting.
• Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with pediatric/adult congenital is preferred.
• Experience with sterile technique is preferred.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of a radiologic technology program required.
• A.R.R.T. Radiography registry with current ODH licensure required. BLS is required. ACLS and PALS certified or be able to obtain certification within one year is required.
• 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
