Assistant Ombudsman *REPOST* (ADMINISTRATOR IV)
Office of the Correctional Ombudsman
The Assistant Ombudsman provides independent oversight of Maryland's Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services and Department of Juvenile Services facilities. The role reports on facility conditions, maintains OCO policy compliance, and advises on significant issues affecting incarcerated individuals, detained youth, and their families. This Grade 19 position is based in Baltimore. Key qualifications Six years of administrative staff or professional work experience (or equivalent substitution with education or military service) High school diploma or equivalency Experience in medical oversight, healthcare compliance, or clinical quality assurance Master's degree or J.D. in criminal justice, public administration, public health, social work, or related field Background in nursing, medicine, public health, or healthcare compliance Valid Maryland motor vehicle operator's license #J-18808-Ljbffr
