Your mission

Own the production of high-quality reagents used worldwide while upholding rigorous safety and waste-handling standards. You’ll collaborate within the Chemical Processing Reagents team, reporting to a Chemical Processing Supervisor, and leverage data to solve problems in real time.

Role details

• Location: Coralville, Iowa (on-site)
• Team: Chemical Processing Reagents
• Reports to: Chemical Processing Supervisor
• Schedule: Thursday – Sunday, 4:00pm – 3:00am (shift differential applies)

How you’ll make an impact

• Harness the ERP to track inventory, plan and issue work orders, execute material transfers, and decrement usage
• Dispense and change materials following precise procedures for manufacturing, storage, and transportation of chemicals
• Handle regulated waste responsibly and serve on the Hazardous Material Spill Response Team
• Analyze scale readouts and BCMS scripts; troubleshoot quality and delivery challenges

What you need to succeed

• Associate degree in a STEM field
• Ability to meet IDT certifications for the role: HAZWOPER 24hr–Technician Certification (requiring medically fit to participate in IDT’s Respirator Program), RCRA awareness certification, and Powered Industrial Truck Operator certification
• The ability to be medically clear and adhere to IDT’s Respiratory Program is a condition of employment and continued employment; you will be tested, must pass, and be fitted for respirator use as part of standard PPE

Physical work environment

• Very Heavy - Exert 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 50 lbs. of force frequently

Preferred profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field
• Demonstrated judgment when mixing bulk chemicals and troubleshooting equipment without direct supervisor input
• Proficiency with core chemistry and math, including unit conversions for in-process adjustments
