As a Security Officer - Full Time - Afternoons in Dubuque, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. You will support security-related operations through attentive observation, accurate documentation, and timely reporting. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access logs for a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including facility entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and shipping/receiving areas, to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with controlling access for deliveries, contractors, and vendors in accordance with facility procedures and operational requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
