Medical Assistant Position at APG Urgent Care - Staten Island

You'll work alongside pediatric providers in a high-energy urgent care setting designed specifically for children and families. From supporting sick visits to assisting with urgent procedures, you'll play a critical role in keeping care efficient, compassionate, and patient-focused.

Shifts Within Hours: 4:00 PM 12:00 AM weekdays | 8:00AM 12:00 AM weekends

What You'll Do:

• Room and prepare pediatric patients for urgent care visits
• Obtain vitals, medical histories, and perform clinical intake
• Assist providers with urgent care procedures and patient flow
• Perform phlebotomy EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection
• Support medication administration and clinical documentation
• Educate and reassure patients and families during visits
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards
• Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and front desk staff
• Help ensure an efficient, positive patient experience

What We're Looking For:

• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• EKG certification/experience required
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical, multitasking, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with EMR systems preferred (A thenaOne experience a plus)
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and patient-focused mindset
