About the Role:

Design Destination Youth and Family in Fayetteville, NC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Paraprofessional to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a structured residential environment
• Support daily living activities including meal preparation, hygiene, and household routines
• Implement individualized treatment and behavior support plans under clinical guidance
• Build positive, trusting relationships with youth and families to promote stability and growth
• Document resident behaviors, progress, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist with transportation, community outings, and recreational activities
• Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and family members as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Respond to crisis situations using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with at-risk youth, foster care, or residential care settings preferred
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and composure in high-stress situations
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to trauma-informed care practices
