Title: Marketing Specialist Reports to: Director of Sales and Marketing Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Non-Exempt; Eligible for Overtime and Benefits Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience Tell Our Story. Brookings Regional Growth Alliance is seeking a creative, organized, and collaborative marketing professional to help tell the stories that shape our region. The Marketing Specialist supports the organization's marketing and communications efforts by creating engaging content, managing digital communications, and executing marketing initiatives that promote both the Brookings Regional Growth Alliance and the Brookings region. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, this position helps bring marketing strategies to life while showcasing Brookings as an exceptional place. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys storytelling, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about making a positive impact through marketing. What You'll Do Tell the Story of Brookings & Growth Alliance Write content for newsletters, blogs, press releases, email campaigns, website updates, social media, and promotional materials. Develop stories that highlight businesses, members, community initiatives, quality of life, events, economic opportunities, tourism experiences, and regional successes. Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all communications. Assist with public relations efforts, including press releases, media advisories, and organizational announcements. Execute Marketing & Digital Communications Manage day-to-day content across the Growth Alliance’s social media platforms. Maintain and update the organization’s website with timely, accurate, and engaging content. Execute marketing campaigns across digital, print, email, and social media channels. Support ongoing efforts to strengthen awareness and recognition of both the Brookings Regional Growth Alliance and the Brookings region while promoting consistent use of the Growth Alliance brand. Support Marketing Projects & Organizational Initiatives Support marketing and communications for programs, events, partnerships, initiatives, and campaigns that promote both the Brookings Regional Growth Alliance and the Brookings region. Develop marketing content that promotes the Brookings region by highlighting economic opportunities, community assets, tourism experiences, business success stories, and quality of life. Capture photography and video content during community events and organizational activities. Assist with production of annual publications, including the Visitor Guide and other organizational marketing materials. Coordinate multiple marketing projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Collaborate Across the Organization Partner with team members across all departments to support organizational priorities and marketing initiatives. Help identify opportunities to cross-promote programs, events, members, and regional initiatives. Assist with maintaining marketing calendars, project timelines, and communication workflows. Represent the Growth Alliance at community events, programs, and business functions. Growth in website, email, and social media engagement. Consistent application of the Growth Alliance brand across all communications and marketing materials. Strong collaboration with staff to support organizational goals and priorities.
