Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a highly analytical and technology-driven Senior Accountant to join our team, focused on the GOLFTEC portion of the business. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who combines strong general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliation, and financial reportingskills with advanced Excel capabilities and an interest inautomation, AI, and process improvement. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in modernizing financial workflows, automating reporting processes, and improving data visibility across the organization. This position supports the monthly close, financial reporting, operational analytics, and multistate sales & use tax compliance, while building scalable systems that reduce manual effort and sharpen financial insight. The ideal candidate brings a positive, team-first attitude along with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and clear communication — both written and verbal. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES General Accounting & Close Ensure sales transactions are recorded in compliance with US GAAP — complete, accurate, and timely Prepare and post journal entries for inventory, revenue, expenses, and accruals Reconcile the general ledger (GL) to subledgers for inventory and other key balance sheet accounts Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations Accurately record and manage expenses across the company Support the month-end close and financial reporting processes Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances as needed Sales & Use Tax Manage multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including timely and accurate filing of returns Research State and Local Tax (SALT)requirements, including sales tax nexus, economic nexus, and taxability rules across applicable jurisdictions Coordinate with third-party tax providers and Avalara tax software to ensure proper calculation and remittance Monitor regulatory changes affecting sales and use tax obligations Respond to tax notices and support audits related to sales and use tax AI Tools & Process Improvement Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to automate repetitive accounting tasks and enhance reporting Identify and implement workflow improvements that reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy Build and maintain scalable Excel models, dashboards, and automated reports to support financial visibility Document and refine standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and scalability as the company grows Collaboration & Stakeholder Support Partner with cross-functional teams and key business stakeholders to deliver accurate, actionable financial information Build strong working relationships within the Finance and Accounting team to drive continuous improvement Support ad hoc projects and analysis as requested by management Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required) 2–3+ years of progressive accounting experience (required) CPA or CPA candidate a plus Knowledge in Sales Tax a plus Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, automation) Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve accounting workflows and productivity Working knowledge of sales and use tax compliance across multiple states Experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) or similar ERP a plus Core Competencies Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership over work quality Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Adaptable and proactive — comfortable building and improving processes in a growing organization Collaborative, team-first mindset Benefits Six (6) company observed holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day GOLFTEC observes a Flexible Time Off policy for exempt employees Health Insurance (Company pays 50% of individual & family) 401(k) Plan available with employer match Dental and Vision Benefits available Short-Term Disability (paid for by employer) Long-Term Disability available Employee Pricing on golf lessons and golf merchandise Continuing education allowance of $500 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr GOLFTEC Intellectual Property LLC
