Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement physical therapy techniques that enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality.
• Work in partnership with nurses, doctors, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Guide patients and families in understanding therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and essential home exercises.
• Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapies, and patient progress according to facility and regulatory standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary care team meetings and rounds to foster coordinated patient care.

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy
• CPR certification is preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) will be advantageous but are not mandatory.

Skills

• Robust previous clinical experience is strongly preferred.
