Industrial Electrician

Industrial Electrician, Georgetown, SC

Interfor is seeking a skilled, safety-minded, and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our team in Georgetown , SC . The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and components throughout the mill to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.

Starting Pay Rate: $30.32 per hour, plus a $1.85 per hour shift differential, with opportunities for growth based on skill level and experience.

Shift: Night shift , Monday through Friday, with weekend work as needed.

Gainshare Bonus: Eligible for a quarterly performance-based bonus.

What You'll Do

• Perform electrical repair and improvement projects throughout the entire mill site.

• Read, write, and understand electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and blueprints.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all Programmable Logic Controller (P.L.C.) controls, A.C inverters, or any other control systems throughout the mill site.

• Adhere to an absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.

• Effectively manage and plan work to accomplish job tasks with minimal direct supervision.

• Submit work requests.

• Fill out completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and time taken to complete the job.

• Perform any other duties in any area requested by Supervisor.

• Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

What You Offer

• Two years of related experience or a two-year technical degree in a closely related field.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to work safely from elevated platforms and heights.

• Skilled in training others and supporting preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.

• Willingness to learn to operate mill equipment to perform test runs following repairs.

• Flexibility with schedules, including weekends, holidays, and call-ins as needed.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
