Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Prosecution Patent Agent in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in patent prosecution, particularly with life sciences clients, and will join a dynamic team handling sophisticated matters.

Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Engage in U.S. and foreign patent office practice.
• Conduct opinion work and due diligence.
• Provide litigation support and client counseling.
• Participate in licensing and other life sciences projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of patent prosecution experience.
• Experience with life sciences clients preferred.
• Admitted to the USPTO.

Education

• Advanced degree in biology, chemistry, or a biotechnical discipline.

Certifications

• USPTO admission.
