Registered Nurse

Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Registered Nurse role based in Ball Ground, GA. The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care to clients in addiction treatment, including assessing health status, administering medications, monitoring withdrawal and detox symptoms, and responding to medical needs or emergencies. Daily responsibilities include completing nursing assessments, documenting care in the medical record, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and other team members, and participating in treatment planning. The RN will provide client education on medications, health conditions, and recovery‑related health topics, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards. The role also involves supporting a therapeutic environment, maintaining professional boundaries, and contributing to a culture of respect, dignity, and nonjudgmental care. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or eligibility for licensure) Clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and basic life support (BLS certification required; ACLS preferred) Experience or strong interest in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or related medical-surgical or psychiatric nursing settings Ability to manage detox and withdrawal protocols in coordination with prescribing clinicians and established clinical guidelines Strong communication and documentation skills, including clear charting, handoffs, and interdisciplinary collaboration Ability to maintain composure in crisis situations, prioritize multiple tasks, and use sound clinical judgment Comfort working in a structured, team-based environment with diverse clients and colleagues Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records and routine documentation Willingness to work assigned shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Preferred: Prior experience in substance use disorder treatment, residential or inpatient care, or community mental health Preferred: Training in trauma-informed care, de‑escalation techniques, and motivational interviewing Preferred: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program #J-18808-Ljbffr Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center
