\n Norton Childrens Radiology, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Childrens Medical Group, is recruiting for additional pediatric radiologists across multiple subspecialties. The practice currently includes fellowship-trained pediatric radiologists with training in various subspecialties, as well as a registered radiologist assistant, specialized nurses and radiology technicians.\n

THE PROGRAM NOW OFFERS TWO TRACKS OF EMPLOYMENT . Physicians can choose between an all-clinical track with a gratis faculty appointment or an academic track through the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics. The position includes a faculty appointment at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, with the opportunity to explore quality improvement, clinical research, translational research, medical education, child advocacy or community engagement. Norton Childrens Research Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, offers broad support for every stage of research, including study design and statistical analysis.  The academic track provides different levels of professorship with opportunities for promotion from the assistant level up to full professor.

\n The newly renovated radiology space at Norton Childrens Hospital features advanced imaging technology:\n \n

• Two MRIs and one 3 tesla (3T) MRI machine
\n
• Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scanner
\n
• Two 256-slice CT scanners
\n
• Biplane interventional suite
\n
• FerriScan for liver or cardiac iron quantification
\n
• Fluoroscopy equipment
\n
• Advanced cardiac imaging (CT and MRI) to help diagnose and evaluate children and adults with congenital heart disease
\n
• Ultrasound elastography to evaluate for chronic liver conditions
\n
• Digital X-ray technology that uses minimal radiation compared with older machines
\n

\n Other facilities served by the team include Norton Womens & Childrens Hospital and Norton Childrens Medical Center, in which a new Siemens 3T MRI has recently been installed. Access to this advanced technology and multiple campuses allows the group to grow volumes and expand in complexity.\n
\n
\n As an integrated entity since 2020, Norton Childrens Medical Group, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, has recruited over 100 providers, added four new accredited fellowships, expanded outreach throughout Kentucky, and increased funding from the trial drug network through Norton Childrens Research Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.\n

About the Position\n
\nPediatric Neuroradiologist \n

\n
• Base compensation between $521,000 up to $565,000 depending upon experience, in addition to, the opportunity for a productivity bonus.
\n
• Sign on bonus of $45,000, relocation bonus between $15,000 and $25,000, and as an additional recruitment incentive, fellows receive up to $100,000 over 5 years of service and experienced physicians receive $60,000 over 3 years of service.
\n
• Full-time positions receive 45 days of paid time off and 7 paid legal holidays. All offer terms are prorated based on the physicians FTE.

\n About Norton Children's Neuroscience Institute \n

\n

\n Norton Children's Neuroscience Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, includes neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, a neuroradiologist, a radiation oncologist, neuropsychologists, neurology advanced practice providers and neurosurgery advanced practice providers. Norton Childrens Neuroscience Institute offers advanced technologies, such as Visualase for epilepsy surgery, virtual reality Surgical Theater that allows surgeons to combine brain scans into a single 3D image, and state-of-the-art electroencephalography capabilities. It also offers vagal nerve stimulation, electromyography and nerve conduction studies. Norton Childrens was the first in Kentucky and among the first in the nation to use neurostimulation in a pediatric patient. Norton Childrens Neuroscience Institute also is the clinical home for an academic team of 15 neurology residents and a pediatric epilepsy fellowship. The academic team is involved in a significant amount of clinical research, working with Norton Childrens Cancer Institute and Norton Childrens Research Institute, both affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.\n
