Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac surgery and vascular surgery patients, including post-operative and overflow medical cardiology cases.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs, assess clinical conditions, and respond promptly to changes.
  
  
• 
  Manage complex procedures such as epidural and chest tube care, IV medications, and cardiac GTT management.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately in the Cerner EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Ensure adherence to unit policies, safety protocols, and certification requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of recent stepdown or telemetry nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Experience with CV surgery, thoracic procedures, or vascular surgeries preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to manage complex cardiac cases and procedures.
  
  
• 
  Strong team player with excellent communication and adaptability skills.
