A Licensed Barber will provide professional grooming services including hair cutting, shaving, and beard trimming primarily to the general public and salon walk-ins. This role involves working part of a salon/barber team during standard business hours, with evenings and weekends on occasion. The barber is responsible for maintaining sanitation standards and may occasionally assist with retail sales of grooming products. Opportunities for professional growth include advanced styling training, management roles, and specialization in grooming services.
Responsibilities
- Perform hair cutting, shaving, and beard trimming services
- Consult with clients to understand grooming needs
- Maintain sanitization and proper tool maintenance
- Schedule and manage appointments efficiently
- Recommend grooming products to clients
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Support team operations within the salon/barber environment
Required Qualifications
- Completion of barber training program
- Valid barber license
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in barbering
- Proficiency in hair cutting and shaving techniques
- Beard grooming expertise
- Knowledge of sanitation standards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Effective time management
- Attention to detail
