Confidential Upcoming Emergency Medicine Opportunity – Southwest Florida

Covalent Medical Management is conducting a confidential search for Emergency Medicine Physicians for a forthcoming Emergency Department opportunity in Southwest Florida.

At this stage, we are identifying providers who may be open to learning more as additional details become available closer to launch. This is a private and strategic search process.

Position Highlights

  • Estimated annual ED volume: approximately 19,000 patients per year
  • 11 hours per day of APP coverage
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Flexible engagement structure with both:
    • 1099 independent contractor opportunities
    • W-2 employed opportunities with benefits
  • Malpractice and tail coverage provided

Physician Requirements

  • Candidates should meet one of the following criteria:
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
    • OR
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM/AOBIM or ABFM/ABOFM) with:
      • Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience
      • OR
      • Completion of a 1-year Emergency Medicine fellowship

Certifications Required

  • ACLS
  • ATLS
  • PALS
  • BLS

Anticipated Shift Structure

  • Physicians:
    • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • APPs:
    • 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
