Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - Cardiac Interventional Radiology

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a role requiring ARRT certification and experience in cardiac cath lab and EP procedures at an academic medical center. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience required Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology ARRT certification required BLS certification from AHA required ACLS certification preferred Active Radiography accreditation with the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety required License required if applicable Epic EMR experience required Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, right/left heart catheterization, and pacemaker insertion Experience with EP procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, arrhythmia induction, and AICD insertion/programming Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and hemodynamic monitoring Thorough knowledge of sophisticated equipment used in Interventional Radiology preferred Ability to work under pressure and react quickly and accurately in problem situations preferred Responsibilities Work within the Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab departments at an academic teaching hospital Serve inpatients and outpatients of all ages Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab settings Take general radiographic films in the department and with mobile x-ray units throughout the hospital Assist radiologists with fluoroscopy and specialized procedures May assist in teaching radiology students 5x8 hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Participates in shared on-call rotation with three-person call teams (mix of techs and nurses) Weekday call is 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM the next day, weekend call runs from Friday 3:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM Uses computed tomography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound equipment Epic charting system experience required 100% onsite position requiring candidates to be based in the greater Chicagoland area Works under the supervision of the Chief Technologist - Interventional Radiology Responsibilities include equipment setup, accurate monitoring, room circulating, scrubbing, and maintaining sterile technique Maintains equipment and inventory and stocks supplies as needed Prepares charge slips and other records as required RTO may not exceed 3 days and cannot be taken during the first or last week of the contract Any scheduling or block requests must be submitted with the initial application and discussed during interview Former UChicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls staff must have separated from employment for at least 7 months before returning as a travel employee Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-736933 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr Newsandtribune
