Kids Are Our Everything. Department: 10271 Hospital - Neuropsychology. Pay Range: $24.80 - $41.34. Shift: Day, 4 days a week, 8:30am–5:00pm. Who We Are Neuropsychology; we evaluate and care for children with a wide range of cognitive (thinking and learning), behavioral and social‑emotional needs. About the Role The Psychometrist position assists fully licensed neuropsychologists on the medical staff in providing neuropsychological assessments for children with learning, behavioral, and emotional disorders. Helps organize neuropsychological test materials and assists with writing test reports. Responsibilities Perform neuropsychological assessments for children with neurological, learning, behavioral, and emotional disorders. Prepare test materials and test room prior to appointment. Collect history from the child’s family when appropriate. Perform neuropsychological testing batteries under supervision of a licensed staff neuropsychologist. Score tests and record scores on the Test Summary form. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of testing materials. Organize testing materials. Speak up when team members exhibit unsafe behavior or performance. Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation. Stop in the face of uncertainty and take time to resolve the situation. Demonstrate accurate, clear and timely verbal and written communication. Actively promote safety for patients, families, visitors and co‑workers. Attend carefully to details, practicing Stop, Think, Act, and Review to self‑check behavior and performance. Assist in writing clear and coherent test reports. Communicate test results and recommendations to the child’s family and referring physician. Perform follow‑up communications with family when appropriate. Partner in the mission and uphold the core principles of the organization. Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university (Required). Current enrollment or matriculation in an accredited master’s or doctoral program, or completion of a doctoral program and currently obtaining hours toward full licensure (Required). Minimum Work Experience 0 years. No experience required. Required Skills and Knowledge 1 year experience as a Psychometrist (Preferred). Familiarity and training with assessment of children. Salary Disclosure Statement The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children’s National believes an individual’s base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children’s National compensation philosophy.
