Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: CVICU\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an RN for a CVICU night shift position requiring MD or compact RN license and prior CVICU experience.Details\n \n CVICU setting with 15 rooms/beds and average daily census of 10\n Adult and geriatric patient population\n Patient ratios of 1:1, up to 1:3 for stable, lower acuity patients\n Common diagnoses include cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, MI, PH, and advanced therapy workups such as LVAD and heart transplants\n Performs bedside central/A-line insertions, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, Swan/PA cath insertion, targeted temperature management, and CRRT\n Uses specialized equipment including Impella, VAD, IABP, CRRT, ventilators, cooling devices, and CCO monitors\n Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)\n Every other weekend required\n Floating required within specialty to lower acuity units as needed\n On-call may be required\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required\n Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale\n CCRN certification preferred\n Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required\n Additional Information\n \n Provide critical care nursing for complex cardiovascular patients requiring advanced monitoring and mechanical support devices\n Holiday coverage required as scheduled\n Navy blue scrubs required\n First-time travelers with strong CVICU skills and experience will be considered\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-754276.
