We're looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who's ready to step into a true leadership role: guiding land development projects from concept to construction while building strong client relationships along the way.If you're someone who wants more than just "checking plans"—if you want responsibility, influence, and a seat at the table—this is that role.What You'll DoLead land development projects as Engineer-of-Record and Project ManagerTake responsibility for project outcomes: quality, timelines, budgets, and client satisfactionServe as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agenciesGuide and mentor Assistant Project Managers and technical staffDesign and review site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including:Grading, erosion control, and subdivisionsWater, sewer, and stormwater systemsStormwater management and final platsCoordinate permitting and approvals with local and state agenciesRepresent projects in meetings with boards, agencies, and stakeholdersWhat You BringActive North Carolina PE license (required)Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)5+ years in land development engineering2+ years leading projects or managing peopleStrong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3DClear communicator and confident leaderValid NC driver's licenseNice to HaveExperience with Ajera or similar project financial softwareBackground in client-facing consultingFamiliarity with land surveying principlesWhy FEI?Meaningful project responsibility – You lead projects, not just pieces of themRelationship-driven culture – We value trust, not bureaucracyLeadership impact – Your decisions shape projects and outcomesPredictable schedule – Mon–Thu: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM Fri: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AMThis role is not for EITs or unlicensed engineers.
