This role is located onsite in Edwards AFB, CA.**This role may be filled at the Base OR Principal level based on the qualifications listed, below**In this role, the successful candidate will work with the Industrial Engineering Team which is an integral part of day-to-day operations and routinely works alongside many of the other organizations at the location. We are looking for applicants that enjoy working with and learning from their peers and are not afraid to jump in and make a difference!Key Responsibilities:Develop and iterate on detail production build schedules by working closely with Development and Production OperationsProvide support to the manufacturing floor by working proactively with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving solutions.Utilize various Continuous Improvement tools to analyze shop floor practices and processes for opportunities to minimize waste, reduce cost, increase capacity and optimize schedule.Work with frontline leadership to assess current state reality and define future state possibilitiesProvide tactics and training to frontline leaders and shop floor personnel to improve the current state and facilitate value generationConduct studies and generate metrics pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.Partner with manufacturing management to develop and track recovery plans that instill confidence within program management and customersApply systems thinking in the development of metrics to improve product flow from the release of raw materials through product delivery.Provide capacity planning, rate tool analyses, and facility layouts to ensure the ongoing success of composite operations. Objects, etc.)Experience performing Earned Value ManagementDemonstrated interest in leadership.Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
