The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The divisionleveragesa broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space-enabled mission effects.

The Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department (CMED) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision leads integration and application of modeling and simulation capabilities and modern analysis workflows to support end-to-end effects chain analysis and space and space-enabled campaign modeling.As a member ofCMED, you willprovidetechnical capabilities to support our customers in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of space, air, and ground-based systems of systems to investigate architecture and concept of operations (CONOPS) performance in nominal and contested operating environments. MS&A focus areas include agent-based modeling, red vs blue simulations, militaryutilityand capability drawdown,killchaineffectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and command and control (C2) evaluation. WhatYou'llBe Doing

• Act as an integration leader and spokesperson for the Cross-Mission Effectiveness Department, coordinating across multiple Aerospace program offices to connect customer requirements with Aerospace capabilities and toidentifyopportunities for new partnerships.

• Work closely with our cross-mission integration focused program offices and customers to translate their program needs into modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks.

• Independently coordinate and lead multiple department projects for our program offices to ensuretimely,accurate, and consistent team deliveries.

• Use and contribute to the development of in-house and commercial- andgovernment-off-the-shelfengineering analysis tools and analysis products.

• Collaborate across technical organizations to achieveoptimalsolutions and efficiencies.

• Develop and present briefings and reports for program offices and customers.

• Mentor junior staff members on technical and professional development subjects and contribute to a learning environment where it is encouraged to share ideas and feedback.

• Hold self and team accountable for results and remove barriers for teams to achieveobjectives.

• Travel occasionally asrequired.

What You Need to be Successful - Project Leader - Modeling & Simulation Engineering

MinimumRequirements:

• Bachelor's degree in in engineering (aerospace, astronautical, mechanical, or software), computer science, physics, operations research, or closely related technical field from an accredited school.

• 6 or more years of increasingly responsible professionalengineering/scientificexperience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.

• Experiencewith OPIR and RADAR system detection and tracking

• Demonstrated strength in architecture and sensor-level simulations and evaluation

• End-to-end mission performance assessments with emphasis in modeling remote sensing systems,trackingand estimation.

• Technical understanding of space operations, red vs blue simulations, militaryutilityand capability drawdown,killchaineffectiveness, enterprise architecture resiliency, and/or command and control (C2).

• Advanced experience with Python and C++.

• Familiarity with Digital Engineering including modern software development methodologies, tools and processes, distributed frameworks, API development, and cloud computing.

• Experience leading a team toaccomplishan objective.

• Demonstratedhigh levelof creativeness, initiative, and self-motivation.

• Ability to work on dynamic assignments and adapt to changing customer expectations.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication skills.

• CurrentTop SecretClearance.

In addition to the above, theminimumrequirements for Senior Project Leader are:

• 10 or more years of increasingly responsible professionalengineering/scientificexperience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.

• Technical experience working for or with an Intelligence Community (IC) or DoD organization.

• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience briefing senior government leaders.

• Demonstrated ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with customers.

• An advanced degree in applicable STEM areas or other relevant disciplines.

• Proficiencywith the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).

• Knowledge of Intelligence Community, U.S. Department of Defense, and Department of the Air Force business practices and programs.

• Current Top Secret/SCI Clearance with polygraph, and special programs access.

• Widely recognized internally and externally by peers, management, program offices, customers, and contractors for delivering high-impact solutions to complex, cross-organizational problems.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
