With the combination of AI and enterprise content, the opportunity has never been greater to transform how the world works together and at Box you will be on the front lines of this massive shiftWHY BOX NEEDS YOU Box is building a modern, AI-first Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Intelligence & Operations organization that makes it easier for Boxers to buy, travel, and manage spend — while creating value, maintaining strong controls, and managing risk.We're looking for a Senior Team Manager to lead the team, systems, and programs powering Box's procurement and spend experience — with operational ownership of Zip, Navan, and Brex, spanning procurement intake and workflows, business travel and expense, and corporate cards.This is a problem-solving and operational leadership role, not an administrative one. You'll identify root causes behind operational challenges and turn complex or ambiguous problems into scalable solutions — partnering closely with Strategic Sourcing, Controllership, Legal, Supplier Trust, IT, and Enterprise Systems.As an AI-first company, we want a leader who looks beyond automating existing processes to rethink how work should be designed — knowing where technology can simplify or eliminate manual effort, where self-service can improve the employee experience, and where human judgment remains essential.WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead the team: Set priorities, ownership, accountability, and development opportunities for Procurement Intelligence & Operations.Own platform strategy and governance: Lead the ongoing management and evolution of Zip (procurement intake and workflows), Navan (business travel and expense), and Brex (corporate cards), with end-to-end ownership of policies, processes, and controls across all three. Define governance, documentation, and change management for procurement systems and programs, and right-size S2P/P2P, T&E, and Corp Card policies based on business needs and risk.Redesign how work gets done, AI-first: Evaluate procurement and spend processes to determine where AI, automation, self-service, operational support, or human expertise can create a simpler, more scalable experience — prioritizing opportunities to reduce manual effort, increase capacity, and strengthen controls while maintaining appropriate human oversight.Partner cross-functionally: Improve intake and routing with Strategic Sourcing based on complexity, risk, and business impact; translate business needs into process and system requirements with IT and Enterprise Systems.Measure and act on outcomes: Track cycle time, volume, service levels, adoption, compliance, and employee experience, and use that data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform decisions and priorities.Enable self-service: Build SOPs, playbooks, training, and resources that make procurement easier for Boxers to navigate while leveraging AI tools and agents.Serve as an escalation point: Bring structure to ambiguous, cross-functional issues, applying sound judgment across speed, employee experience, cost, scalability, controls, and risk to drive resolution.Drive operational execution and issue resolution: Manage, prioritize, and drive open operational tickets, requests, and action items to prompt resolution, ensuring deliverables and process enhancements cross the finish line on time.Champion project execution and organization: Establish clear tracking mechanisms, roadmaps, and structured workflows for concurrent projects, ensuring dependencies, milestones, and deliverables remain organized and accountable end to end.WHO YOU AREYou have an AI-first mindset: You're curious about how AI, automation, data, and technology can reshape how work is performed — not just where to apply AI to an existing process. You know how to distinguish work that should be simplified, automated, or self-served from work that requires human expertise and oversight, and you evaluate every change by measurable impact (experience, speed, capacity, quality, controls, scalability) rather than technology adoption alone.You have 5–7+ years of experience in procurement, procurement operations, source-to-pay, procure-to-pay, finance operations, or a related function. T&E and corp card experience is a plus.You have people leadership experience: You have managed a team of 5+, with a track record of creating accountability, developing talent, and enabling teams to perform at a high level.You are an analytical, root-cause problem solver: You can use data to diagnose problems, recognize patterns, and evaluate alternatives independently — comfortable bringing structure to ambiguity and driving solutions from recommendation & alignment, through implementation.You thrive in ambiguity: You're comfortable navigating change and prioritizing across multiple concurrent programs without a predetermined answer.You have platform experience: You have owned procurement, travel, expense, corporate card, or spend-management programs and systems at a global organization of 3,000+ employees with nine-figure annual spend. Experience with Zip, Navan, Brex, or similar platforms is strongly preferred.You have strong source-to-pay and procure-to-pay knowledge: You understand S2P/P2P processes, policies, controls, and operational best practices end to end.You have transformation and program management experience: You have led or actively contributed to process redesign, system implementations, workflow optimization, or automation initiatives — managing scope, timelines, and cross-functional dependencies along the way.You influence cross-functionally: You have experience partnering with teams such as Controllership, Legal, IT, Enterprise Systems, Strategic Sourcing, Risk, or Security and can drive alignment without relying on authority.You are strategic but hands-on: You can set direction for the function while staying close enough to the work to see where processes, systems, and handoffs are breaking down.You are a strong communicator: You can translate complex operational issues and data into clear recommendations for both working teams and leadership.You are exceptionally organized and structured: You bring operational rigor and strong organization, with the ability to maintain structured documentation, manage project backlogs, and keep multiple workstreams moving smoothly without dropping details.Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture.
