Senior Personal Banker To fully engage in office activities and decision making by being an active participant in the daily branch function through opening deposit account and originating consumer loan requests, including home equity loans. Personal Bankers are expected to recognize that in order to provide Service Excellence a customer’s experience should always be consistent whether they are online, using a mobile device, speaking to us over the phone or visiting us in person. In order to maintain this all Personal Bankers must consistently follow and model VCNB Service Standards. Core Responsibilities Operates effectively on the Retail floor, including the teller line as needed during lunches, staff shortages, or high volume traffic. Opens all types of deposit accounts and handles account maintenance as required. Granting and servicing of secured and unsecured loans with emphasis on consumer customers, meeting applicants and underwriting the credit request. Opens home equity loans. Promotes the bank’s services and products and is responsible for cross selling and making high quality referrals when appropriate. Develop customer relationships through extensive outside calling efforts and phone calls to existing and potential customers. Serves existing customers in accordance with VCNB policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements. Builds or establishes a portfolio that warrants more than 50% of time on platform side. Assists in problem solving customer or staff issues within a branch and takes on backup leadership roles as needed. Trains other Personal Bankers or acts as a content expert in the areas of Teller, Deposit Accounts, Consumer Lending and Sales. Exercising independent judgment and discretion within job duties. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Has at least 5 years of experience in banking or in a similar cash handling role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
