Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport 4243 Genesee Street Cheektowaga, NY 14225, USA Travel Required: No Description The Courtyard by Marriott in Buffalo-Airport is seeking a Bistro Server for The Bistro, the on‑site restaurant at the Courtyard Buffalo‑Airport. The Bistro serves up breakfast choices in the morning and a variety of dinner, beer, and wine options in the evening. The Bistro also offers specialty beverages made with Starbucks® coffee. The Hotel is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award‑winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates. Responsibilities Welcoming guests, taking orders, ringing orders into the POS system, and receiving payment for the order. Preparing food, coffee, and other beverages to meet company and brand standards, including alcohol. Have a full knowledge of the entire menu. Setting up bar for service, preparing drink orders for guests, following state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly, completing closing duties, and ensuring cleanliness of bar and cooler areas. Providing assistance in Food and Beverage areas including bussing, cleaning, washing dishes and utensils, resetting tables, delivering food to guests, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area. Pay Pay range: $15.50-$16.50 + tips What You Bring Previous hotel food and beverage or restaurant environment experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation is a plus. High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre‑established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service is necessary. Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred. Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol.
