Project Manager | Utility Infrastructure / Substation Projects | Richmond, VA Resume must include project list to be considered. Onsite & may involve travel to active project sites throughout the surrounding region. Must live or be willing to relocate to the Richmond, VA area. Full‑Time | Utility Infrastructure | Power Delivery | Substations The Opportunity The Project Manager will oversee utility infrastructure projects from planning through execution while supporting successful project delivery aligned with safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations. This position will work closely with engineering teams, contractors, field operations, utility stakeholders, and project leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Manage utility infrastructure and substation projects from planning through execution and closeout Lead project schedules, forecasting, procurement activities, and project controls Coordinate engineering teams, contractors, field operations, utilities, and project stakeholders throughout execution Support projects involving greenfield and brownfield infrastructure development Manage project documentation including RFIs, reporting, change management, forecasting, and project controls Monitor project budgets, schedules, production goals, and execution milestones Participate in project planning, risk management, constructability reviews, and coordination meetings Ensure project execution aligns with safety requirements, technical standards, and regulatory expectations Support communication between internal teams, contractors, engineering partners, and clients Qualifications 10+ years of Project Management experience within utility infrastructure, power delivery, EPC, industrial, or infrastructure projects Experience supporting utility, substation, transmission projects is required Experience with greenfield and/or brownfield project environments is required Experience managing project schedules, budgets, forecasting, procurement, and contractor coordination Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and organizational skills Team-oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities The role may involve travel between project locations and interaction with active infrastructure and construction environments.
