Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – 13-week travel assignment in Dallas, Texas Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to deliver respiratory interventions and support for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Job Details 14‑week assignment requires one year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC and a valid state respiratory therapy license are required. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) is mandatory. Preferred: ACLS or PALS certification (AHA/ARC). Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position. Responsibilities Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs. Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders. Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples. Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate. Observe and record patient status and progress. Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice. Physical Abilities: Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment 50–100 lbs, push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills: Work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills: Grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures or using department equipment. Mental Requirements: Cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally; work independently; contend with irregular activity schedules; maintain continuous concentration on detail.
