Responsibilities Greeting Guests: Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and make them feel valued. Seating Arrangements: Manage seating plans, including keeping track of reservations and ensuring the seating flow is smooth during busy times Customer Service: Answer questions about the menu, restaurant policies, and specials. Be prepared to assist with other guest needs, like finding restrooms or accommodating special requests. Waiting Area Management: Ensure guests in the waiting area are comfortable and informed about their table status. Coordination: Communicate with servers and the kitchen to manage table availability and provide accurate wait times. Opening/Closing Tasks: Assist with preparing the restaurant for service and tidying up at the end of the shift. Cleaning: Ensuring the waiting area is clean and tidy as it is the first and last impresion of the restaurant. Skills Friendly and approachable demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
