Network / System Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Workday Production Support Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the technology platform, focusing on Production Support for Workday HCM modules including Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition. The ideal candidate will identify and resolve production issues, manage incidents, and collaborate with development and internal business teams to drive improvements in the production services environment. This position requires a mandatory hybrid schedule of at least 3 days per week on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Production support for Workday HCM modules including payroll, benefits, absence, time tracking, security, and VNDLY
• Work closely with HR and finance teams to address functional and technical Workday issues
• Diagnose and troubleshoot business process issues, security access problems, and data inconsistencies in Workday
• Configure and update Workday business processes based on organizational changes and compliance needs
• Support Workday Security Administration including user access control and role-based security assignments
• Assist in testing and deploying Workday updates during releases, ensuring minimal disruption
• Take ownership of escalations and perform troubleshooting, analysis, research, and resolution using advanced query skills
• Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement and maintain metrics to drive analysis

Requirements:

• 7+ years of IT experience in production support
• Strong understanding of Workday HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management) and configuration options
• Experience managing Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), web services, and APIs
• Hands-on experience with Workday security, role-based access control, and compliance frameworks
• Basic knowledge of database concepts and SQL queries
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Remedy, Jira) and monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace)

Desired skills:

• 5+ years of IT experience in Production support related to Workday HCM
• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, JIRA, and ITSM Remedy
• Understanding of Incident, Problem and Change management processes
• Self-driven, independent worker with a willingness to collaborate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong influencer, facilitator, and collaborator

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
