About the Position

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day assignment in Ohio. The client requires a professional to cover 12-hour day shifts (6am-6pm), aiming for two full-time positions with 24 shifts per month. This role primarily involves rounding on 5-15 general pediatric patients and handling admissions, focusing on conditions like asthma flare-ups, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, and seizure disorders, with no newborn care or procedures required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work 12-hour day shifts (6am-6pm) within the Pediatric Hospitalist APP role.
• Handle rounding on general pediatric patients, typically between 5-15 per day.
• Manage pediatric admissions, with a variable daily volume of 4-7.
• Provide care for general inpatient pediatric cases, including asthma flare-ups, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, and seizure disorders.
• Collaborate with an assigned Pediatric Hospitalist and the existing team of 10 Pediatric Hospitalists and residents.
• Address occasional pediatric consults from other services, estimated at about one per week.
• Note: This position does not involve newborn care, procedures, or direct emergency room consults.
