Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing expert nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and effective clinical outcomes within the operating room setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Assist surgical team during procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Document patient care activities accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide post-operative care and patient education as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current state registration.
• Proven experience in operating room or surgical nursing.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
• Possess excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days and nights.
• Maintain compliance with institutional policies and healthcare standards.
