AutoCAD Drafting Technician
New River Engineers – Athens, Oh

New River Engineers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafting Technician to join our architectural and engineering team in Athens, Ohio. This position is ideal for someone with strong drafting skills who enjoys working on a variety of architectural and design projects in a collaborative professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise architectural and engineering drawings using AutoCAD
• Prepare detailed construction documents, layouts, and technical drawings
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to support project development
• Maintain drawing accuracy, organization, and project documentation
• Assist with project revisions and updates throughout various project phases
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards and project specifications

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD required
• Prior drafting or architectural experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction and architectural documents
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field
• Experience working in an architectural or engineering firm
• Familiarity with Revit or other design software is a plus
