Junior Accountant

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Junior Accountant. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will be responsible for supporting key financial operations, gaining hands‑on cost accounting experience, and collaborating directly with cross-functional teams. In a Junior Accountant job you’ll be responsible for: Recording and reconciling daily transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger entries. Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, and supporting schedules. Supporting inventory costing, cycle counts, cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations, and variance analysis. Reconciling bank statements and vendor accounts while tracking fixed assets and depreciation schedules. Assisting with sales tax filings, compliance reporting, and internal/external audit documentation. Collaborating with production and procurement teams to resolve cost-related inquiries. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 0–2 years of related experience (including internships). Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Familiarity with cost accounting, a manufacturing environment, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics 365) is a plus. Progress toward CPA certification is preferred.
