Inventory/Parts | Baltimore Maryland, United States Job Description Who YOU are and what YOU can becomeST Engineering MRAS is seeking an entry-level buyer to assist with and manage dedicated suppliers to achieve the best contractual conditions, pricing, terms & delivery, while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. In this role, you will report to the Sourcing Manager and assist with day-to-day responsibilities along with handling the entire order life cycle. At ST Engineering MRAS, we are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities leveraging the company’s expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as it’s materials and processing expertise.What YOU will doManage the entire life cycle of the supplier relationship including the following:Bidder list development, RFQ, bid analysis, down select, negotiations, Deal Review preparation & presentation, Contract award, bid process documentation, PO release and Fulfillment.Manage supplier OTD & Quality metricsAssist Sourcing Manager with day-to-day functionsStatus delivery & commitments from suppliersSupport accurate and timely supplier shipments through receiptSupport Aftermarket repair orders and Aftermarket supplier contract administrationDrive MRB documentation between the supplier and internal partiesDrive supplier recovery planning & execution as necessaryDefine, present & administer supplier strategy to ensure best overall value is obtained, including consistent delivery to schedule & quality requirementsAssist and support supplier negotiations and special projects as requiredMonitor engineering change activity & lead detailed overlap process with supplier(s)Communicate and coordinate activities as required with cross-functional groups including; Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal & ManufacturingAssist in the continuous development of the Procurement function towards best practicesWhat YOU must bring to SucceedBachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business degree is preferred) or 3 years of purchasing/sourcing experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.Desired Characteristics1-3 years of strategic sourcing experience including RFP’s, supplier selection, PO placement, supplier order status/trackingKnowledge in hydraulics, valves, sensors, electronics, metallics, etc.Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentCritical self-thinker and strong problem-solving skillsStrong Excel skills and other Microsoft Office toolsFamiliar with ERP systems (SAP desired)Aerospace industry experienceAt ST Engineering MRAS, we offer great rewards, competitive pay, career advancement and growth opportunities.Estimate salary range for this role: $63,500 to $93,000 per year. ST Engineering MRAS considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location.
