Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our acute inpatient rehabilitation team. The RN will provide high-quality care for patients recovering from various conditions, including stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries.

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse will work with a diverse range of patients, focusing on maximizing their health, function, and quality of life. This role requires a strong background in inpatient rehabilitation or medical-surgical nursing, particularly in settings with high patient acuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Assist Certified Nursing Assistants and respond to patient needs, including answering call lights for safety and comfort.
• Participate in a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or 24/7 acute care environment.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
• Strong ability to manage high-acuity patient cases and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with mandatory breaks and paid time off as per attendance policies. Staff are required to adhere to scheduling and timekeeping policies, including taking a 30-minute break and two 15-minute paid breaks during their shifts.

• Number of Beds: 49
• Patient Ratios: 1:7
• Available Equipment: Mobility equipment including ceiling lifts and vital monitoring machines.
• EHR System: EPIC
