Radiation Dosimetrist Hybrid Schedule

MLR Healthcare is actively seeking a Radiation Dosimetrist to join our client's Radiation Oncology department. In this vital role, you will be responsible for creating precise treatment plans for cancer patients using advanced treatment planning systems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists. This position requires a strong foundation in medical physics and radiation oncology, as well as a commitment to delivering the highest standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized, effective treatment plans for cancer patients.
- Utilize advanced treatment planning systems (e.g., Eclipse, Varian) to design accurate and efficient radiation dose distributions.
- Perform dose calculations and optimize treatment techniques, including 3D Conformal, IMRT, VMAT, and Brachytherapy.
- Ensure the safe, high-quality delivery of radiation therapy treatments to patients.
- Contribute to quality assurance activities and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Dosimetry or a related field.
- Certification: Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
- Experience: Proficiency with treatment planning systems such as Eclipse or Varian.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of radiation therapy protocols, techniques, and patient safety measures.
