Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate $18.50/HR

Summary

Our client is seeking to hire a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the flow of goods by unloading incoming shipments, picking and packing all domestic and international orders for shipping, while managing inventory.

Responsibilities

•        Check packaged products from production into warehouse

•        Pull orders and complete all special shipping instructions according to packing list

•        Label & place orders in designated staging areas for carrier pickup

•        Load outbound freight onto trucks

•        Unload, receive inbound shipment in SAP by processing Goods Receipt PO, and deliver to appropriate department

•        Fill forklift propane tanks

•        FIFO product in warehouse and quarantine expired product

•        Notify Purchasing Agent of supplies needed in the warehouse

•        Perform stock checks as requested

•        Notify the Production Manager or designee when a stock item's inventory reaches restock point

•        Review daily backorders against SAP generated backorder list

•        Maintain inventory accuracy by noting any case opened, assembled, or adjustment necessary on inventory transaction worksheet

•        Assist in inventory management by helping perform regular cycle counts

•        Close & lock designated areas daily

•        Shrink wrap and palletize pallets to prepare orders for shipping

•        Sweep, mop, and dust warehouse to maintain a clean and organized work area

•        Practice safe work habits at all times, thinking about safety first; take required safety training classes

•        Operate forklift and maintain required certification; follow safety guidelines while operating and utilize the forklift checklist before using machinery

•        Work minimum 40-hour work week and overtime as required by management

•        Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

•        Experience with hazardous materials preferred

•        Sit-down Forklift experience

•        Incredible attention to detail

•        Ability to follow ISO procedures

•        Intermediate Microsoft computer skills

Education and/or Experience

•        High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience

•        Strong organizational skills to keep area orderly and neat

•        Maintain a positive can-do attitude

•        High energy with strong work ethic – work in fast paced work environment

•        Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
