Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a rewarding opportunity. The position involves providing critical respiratory care to patients across a diverse age range, from pediatric to geriatric populations. Join our dedicated team during a weekend shift schedule.
Shift Information
- Three 12-hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Total of 36 hours per week
- Part of Shift/Holidays required if needed
Job Responsibilities
- Independently manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
- Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and ensure proper airway management, including assistance with intubations.
- Set up and operate various respiratory care equipment as requested by physicians to diagnose and treat respiratory diseases and illnesses.
- Function independently, addressing and solving varying degrees of issues in various patient care areas.
- Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs); experience preferred but negotiable.
Patient Population
The therapist will work with patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, ensuring high-quality respiratory care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience.
- Active certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Ability to operate various PAP modalities, high-flow oxygen, and perform PFTs.
- Willingness to learn new skills, including home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation.
- At least 6 months of travel experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system required.
- Traveler must possess their own vehicle for commuting.
Additional Information
- Business casual dress code or personal scrubs of any color.
- Non-billable orientation of 8 hours is required.
- Must adhere to attendance policies; after three call-offs in the assignment, further action may be taken regarding the contract.
