Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care in the Emergency Department for a diverse patient population, ensuring prompt and effective treatment of acute medical conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions, prioritize needs, and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient status using EKGs, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose testing.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge instructions, and health management.
• Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with physicians, EMTs, and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital ER experience.
• Maintain certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC.
• Demonstrate proficiency in trauma, stroke care, and emergency procedures.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, energy, and a collaborative personality.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with a flexible, team-oriented approach.
